We have a home in Carmel that is over 50 years old and situated on a slope. Recently I noticed an area under the foundation where there had been some undermining of the soil. My concern was for the structural integrity of the house. Opinions from a general contractor and a specialty foundation contractor concurred that there was a significant problem, however their remedies were divergent. Mr. Garrison visited the property and proceeded to perform an inspection. His eyes for detail included the immediate location, strata of the surrounding soil and additional work that had been performed post construction. On the outside it looked like a very common problem but because of Mr. Garrison's objectivity, awareness of additional factors and superior deductive reasoning, his professional conclusion was more consistent with the facts at hand and greatly contrasted the prior evaluations. There was some settling of the property but the foundation was done well and continues to be strong serving the purpose it was built and designed for.
